Promising Starts

I have a piece over at New Welsh Review, about writers and their earlier careers. Did you know that Margaret Atwood once worked at the counter of a coffee shop in Toronto? And Jules Verne wrote an early novel in 1863 called Paris in the Twentieth Century?

To find out who wrote their first book 45 years before winning the Nobel Prize, as well as which counter-cultural touchstone’s first novel was called Prince Jellyfish, and why you should always be nice to the lady who serves you coffee in the mornings, head over the the NWR, and see the shiny new blog they’ve got going on.
